Okay okay sloppy strip this week I know, I know. Unfortunetly I've been busy with many things. The one thing that I've been busy with that I'll tell you about it a game called 'Marathon'. My god. I normally don't like boomer shooters, I find them clunky and hard to controll and that's probably my fault for not playing them enough to get used to them... UNTIL NOW!! Marathon has sucked me in, truly. I had to stop myself from playing to draw this comic, and as you can see I didn't even do the background because I wanted to go back to playing. Well... okay maybe the 'pulling myself away from it' part was a lie. Spoilers for Marathon 1996 incoming... In the mission 'Cool fusion', right at the end you have to go onto the giant 'elevator' and jump into an open door at just the right time to make the jump but not get crushed by the 'elevator'. Easy on paper, hard in practice. See, the thing about Marathon is that there is no jump button. Space is (one of) your firing buttons. So you just can't jump. 'Jumping' in Marathon means 'running off a platform and praying that you'll make it. I spent far too long trying to get through that tiny door. I ragequit. For the record there was no screaming or yelling involved. I closed the game, put down my headphones, and started rubbing my temples while deeply exhaling. That's the type of rage this game ellicited from me. Anyways, I need to go beat that level. See yah, Adrian out.
